Independent Candidate for President
Misteradiant:

The US has the best institutes for science learning in the world, but what have we done lately besides build a hundred goggle add-ons and the iPod? Only through innovation can America respond to energy challenges by creating new industries and new jobs through new technologies. Focusing the country on the sciences of biofuel technology and renewable energy will reward the science community and provide the entire world with ways to keep from using up the Earth while giving nothing back. In my vision of America, we will fund technical competitions and match funds of private investors who start a competition, such as the X Prize for private spaceflight.

It is time to get back to changing the world in ways beyond entertainment. Creativity is more than music and movie stars, it makes technology that transcends a thousand songs by Paris Hilton.

Did you know that America is 16th in the world in broadband deployment? In a world that is driven by Information Technology on the internet, it is a deplorable statistic that makes it difficult for America to seize the wealth of knowledge that is online.

The United States will develop policies that make it difficult for media conglomerates to monopolize broadband access. Historically, monopolies and bureaucratic organizations destroy innovation and invention. It is because giant corporations control broadband that we are 16th in the world in giving it to its people. 16th? Come on, America! Stand up to the man and fight for the right to access the same information as they can in France and Japan!

My vision of America develops policies that make it difficult for energy conglomerates to monopolize power grids as well.

For countries that tax our innovative products, we will institute international trade policies that tax technology imported from them. This will keep American ingenuity affordable to the world and to Americans.

America invented the internet, folks. So much that is new technology is related to this wholly American innovation. Why should an MP3 player made in South Korea cost less than one made in South Dakota? It shouldn't.

I promise you will receive a personal response and that your opinion will make my bid for President of the United States a more inclusive candidacy than any out-of-touch multi-millionaire opponent and his corporate conglomerate backers could pay to fabricate.
